Welcome to the Bowling Family YMCA!!!

There is a place in our community- a place where children feel safe, where families feel connected, where esteem and leadership qualities are enhanced, where the values of caring, respect, honesty, responsibility  and faith are the cornerstone of every activity.  There is a place in our community where children, teens, adults, families and seniors can go, where everyone is given the opportunity to grow.

The Bowling Family YMCA has a history of providing northeast El Paso a large full-service facility. The facility has been expanded and improved by a donation from the El Paso area Rotary club.

The Bowling Family YMCA's main focus is on incorporating community and member involvement in programs benefiting the entire family from six months of age to active older adults.

The Bowling Family YMCA offers a wide variety of programs from weekly programs for youth to special exercise programs for seniors and even Wellness coaches for adults of all ages. Additionally, the 25 yard, extra-wide lane lap pool is ideal for the year-round swimming enthusiast.

Programs at the Bowling Family YMCA range from year-round swimming lessons, 16 water fitness classes per week(free to members), Swim Team,  20 Group X classes (free to members) per week including Yoga, Pilates, spinning, and Active Older Adults,  youth programs including Indoor Soccer, basketball, ballet, gymnastics, martial arts, weight-lifting for teens and volleyball.

NEWS FROM THE BOWLING FAMILY BRANCH


Chronic Disease Classes




LiveStrong at the YMCA: We are currently looking for survivors to participate in this 12 week program. The program includes exercise and membership. Class meets twice a week. Participants must be 18 years or older and have doctor’s release to participate.

Enhanced Fitness: This new class is designed to safely increase participants’ fitness levels through aerobic and strength training exercised while building a sense of community. EnhancedFitness has

been proven to increase participants’ strength, balance, flexibility, mood, general activity level, and independence when they attend on a regular basis. Attendance is crucial for one to get the most benefit. Space is limited and sign up is required. 16 week program,

YMCA Diabetes Prevention Program: This is a year-long evidenced based program. Individuals who are considered pre-diabetic qualify for this program. The Lifestyle coaches help individuals achieve their goals. Participants will track their food and activity. The program goals are to reduce 5-7% body weight and to increase physical activities to 150 minutes per week.
